What is this appeal for?
Anxiety has a negative impact on both families and the community by reducing sufferer's quality of life and creating a strain on their families. Our organisation seeks to provide information and support for individuals battling anxiety through support groups, information evenings, phone support, programs, and reference material. ADAVIC is one of the few organisations that provide these services to the community at a low and affordable cost making our services more accessible to the general community and those who need it the most. ADAVIC is currently struggling for funds. We are collecting funds so we can continue to provide these important and relevant services to the community.

How will the funds be used?
Our organisation provides the following services:-
  • Telephone support and information service that operates from Monday to Friday, 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
  • Weekly support group meetings in the East, South East, and Northern regions of Melbourne.
  • A variety of workshops and programs conducted by various health professionals.
  • An adolescent program in secondary schools
  • Monthly lectures and information nights from various health professionals and other guest speakers.

  • Information and support for Carers, Family and Friends.
  • Online store for purchasing self-help books, CDs, and bookings to ADAVIC events.
