What is this appeal for?
We are collecting funds to help with providing our young musicians with the following:
  • Tutorials with leading South Australian musicians from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. And the Elder Conservatorium of Music, The University of Adelaide.
  • Scholarships to pay part or full membership fees for disadvantaged or talented young musicians..
  • Discounted concert tickets for regional school and public concerts, so that as many people as possible can afford to attend our concerts.
  • Touring orchestras to regional South Australia to provide people with the rare opportunity to attend an orchestral concert.
  • Presentation of our annual concert program, which allows our young musicians to gain invaluable performance skills.
  • Purchasing of orchestral instruments such as timpani, contra-bassoon and tubular bells which young musicians are unable to afford to buy. This will help save AdYO significant costs with regards to hiring instruments.
