AngliCORD Lebanon Appeal

What is this appeal for?

Civilians in Lebanon have been profoundly affected by escalating conflict in the region, with more than 300 people killed and 600,000 people forced from their homes. Significant major infrastructure has also been destroyed. The Middle East Council of Churches have launched an emergency response, on behalf of the Action by Churches Together network, which includes AngliCORD.

How will the funds be used?
Through the MECC, the Inter-church Network for Development and Relief in Lebanon (ICNDR) is establishing centers for people who have lost their homes through bombing or who have been forced to flee. The centres require bedding, water, food, milk for infants, first aid kits and medical supplies. Trauma and pastoral care will also be provided.

Extensive rehabilitation programs will certainly be required in Lebanon, and ACT partners will undertake further assessments as the situation unfolds.
