What is this appeal for?
Australia Pacific Islands Disability Support (APIDS) is a small voluntary NGO established in 2006 to provide support for Pacific Disabled People Organisations (DPOs). APIDS has eight partner DPOs:
  • Fiji Disabled Peoples Association
  • Te Toa Matoa (Kiribati)
  • PNG National Assembly of Disabled Persons
  • Nuanua O Le Alofa Inc (Samoa)
  • Disabled People Association of Solomon Islands
  • Kra'as Hadomi Timor Oan (Timor Leste)
  • Naunau 'o e Alamaite Tonga Association
  • Disability Promotion and Advocacy Association (Vanuatu)

How will the funds be used?
The funds will be used for activites that will improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and improve their physical resources.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:
  • Funds for Disability Organisations in Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
