Certificate IV in Governance

ASSESSMENT

1. Overview

The course you are enrolled in comprises intensive group workshop days and follow-up tasks which are designed to help you to apply the course content, tools and concepts, and for the facilitators to assess if you have completed all of the course requirements

The workshop themes are:

  • Governing
  • Planning
  • Communicating
  • Sustaining

The Governance Program is assessed against the component modules listed in the course workbook. These comprise the requirements for completion of the nationally recognised qualification CERTIFICATE IV IN GOVERNANCE - BSB40907.To successfully complete the course and be awarded the qualification you must demonstrate competency against all of these modules. The course schedule, follow-up assessments and project work are carefully designed to enable you to do so, and - importantly - to enable you also to apply your learning.

For the successful completion of this qualification, participants must complete a series of workplace/Board-related assessment tasks and projects. Assessment tasks can be completed and submitted progressively after the workshop completion. This program requires participants to undertake some self-directed learning in order to successfully complete the course. Participants should allow approximately 4 hours per week over 6 to 9 months to complete the self-directed learning and assessment tasks

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available on enrolment.

To successfully complete the course and be awarded the qualification you must demonstrate competency against all of the 10 modules. When you have successfully completed and submitted the assessments your work will be reviewed and you will be given some feedback, or extra guidance if it is not quite up to the mark. We will do everything we can to assist you to complete the course

It is important to understand that in this type of program absolute right and wrong answers are not always required as your own circumstances will differ to those of other participants.
