What is this appeal for?
The Centenary Institute has an impressive research track record in the areas of cardiac disease, cancer, tuberculosis, asthma and diabetes research, to name just a few. With your help, every day we're moving one step closer to finding improved treatments and cures for each and every one of these diseases. Your donation to the Centenary Institute will help our scientists continue their research into the causes of these diseases and to translate these discoveries into everyday healthcare through the development of new vaccines, better diagnostic tests and innovative forms of treatment.

How will the funds be used?
Donations to the Centenary Institute from generous supporters just like you are put to use in a variety of important ways, including:

  • Essential funding for research programs aimed at diagnosing, preventing and treating of a multitude of diseases,
  • Purchase of the most up-to-date scientific equipment,
  • Maintenance of existing equipment and day-to-day costs associated with running the research facilities,

  • Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:
    • Equipment
    • Medical Research
    • Cancer, heart disease
