Organisation: St Nicholas Christmas Trees
State: Australian Capital Territory
Details: Each year St Nicholas Christmas Trees chooses a local charity to support. If 2000 trees can be sold this year the nominated charity will receive approximately 20 per cent of the proceeds. This equates to between $6000 to $8000.

Organisation: The Oakleigh Centre

Details: Since the early 1960's the Oakleigh Centre has been selling Christmas trees to raise funds. A parent, Frank Burton, who sold trees from his backyard, initiated the event. Fresh quality trees and stands are available at reasonable prices throughout December. The Festival is staffed totally by volunteers and all profits go to the Centre's programs. Customers and volunteers are always in demand.
