Wildlife Care, Rehabilitation and Release

What is this appeal for?

Funds are being collected to support the ongoing running and development of the facility. DRWS exists due to the commitment of approximately 80 volunteers who donate their time and resources to the rescue, care, rehabilitation and release of Australian native wildlife. Without public support the shelter would not be able to continue to do its work.

How will the funds be used?
Funds will be used to support the core aims of the shelter and ensure wildlife in need has the best opportunity to be returned to its natural environment.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Wildlife treatment and care
Development of facilities for the treatment, care and rehabilitation of wildlife
Educational materials to support the community in learning more about wildlife and how to manage wildlife related issues and to support volunteers in their role in wildlife rescue, care and rehabilitation.

Is this appeal tax deductible? Yes

Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, though it will be delayed as it is sent by Darling Range Wildlife Shelter
