What is this appeal for?

To supplement limited government funding and assist with achieving the Deafness Forum's objectives.

How will the funds be used?

To assist achieve the Deafness Forum's mission to improve the quality of life for people who are Deaf, have a hearing impairment or have a chronic ear disorder.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Public awareness raising via:
- Hearing Awareness Week
- International Noise Awareness Day
- Publications
Specific campaigns, such as:
- Prevention of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss & Injury
- Proper Installation, Maintenance and Promotion of Assistive Listening Systems
- Captioning Quality
