Better Hearing Australia (Vic.) Inc. (BHA Vic.) provides free professional advice and information services to hearing impaired people in Victgoria with funding from the Department of Human Services.  This includes providing independent and current information and advice on all aspects of hearing loss management, tinnitus management and ear/hearing pathologies.

As a national organisation we advocate to influence government and other organisations to better accommodate the needs of hard of hearing people.

Our Community Assistance Scheme and Hearing Aid Bank is unique in how it operates viz:

The program enables people with hearing loss on low incomes to be fitted with a reconditioned hearing aid at little or no cost.  We have clients referred to us from agencies such as Red Cross, Salvation Army and Refugee Aid Centres and also from Social Workers from hospitals such as the Eye & Ear Hospital.

With the voluntary services of a visiting audiometrist, by appointment, we also offer hearing tests at no charge, earmould replacement and some hearing aid repairs.

DONATIONS OF UNWANTED HEARING AIDS - we need to ensure that we have enough hearing aids to meet the needs of the Community Assistance Scheme - if anyone or anyone you know has unused hearing aids and would like to donate them for use in the scheme please contact us.
