We are a wholly volunteer group of people forming the Bermagui Historical Society Incorporated. We operate the Bermagui Heritage Museum and hold meetings to discuss writing and publication of history, historical tours, site visits and walks; historical functions and activities which could focus on fundraising and giving talks to other community groups. The museum encourages research, conservation, cataloguing and displayed for the benefit of community and visitors alike.

Conservation workshops held to apply principles of proper storage and display to sensitive items in all manner of materials.

Our community's interest in its own past has been aroused, as indicated by the number of items coming forward to be donated or lent to the museum. We have digitised and preserved the photographic collection.

We are now located in our own space in the Community Centre.
