Voiceless envisions a world in which animals are treated with respect and compassion. Voiceless will bring the institutionalised suffering of animals to the forefront of Australia’s agenda; ensuring that animal protection is the next great social justice movement.

Voiceless is an independent non-profit think tank dedicated to alleviating the suffering of animals in Australia. Voiceless works to:

• Capacity-build the animal protection movement. The Voiceless Grants Program has awarded more than $1,000,000 to non-profit organisations for animal protection projects. Each year our red-carpet Annual Awards event is attended by well-known Australian professionals, decision-makers and celebrities. The Event is a unique occasion in which the ground-breaking work of all those who make up the animal protection movement is publicly acknowledged and celebrated.  
• Develop the field of animal law in Australia in order to give animals the legal voice that they deserve. The Voiceless annual animal law lecture series brings the world’s most prominent and successful international animal law experts to Australia. The generous support of Law Schools, Professional Legal Associations, Law Firms and Legal Publishers across the country as well as attendance by politicians, judges, barristers, lawyers, academics, law students and many members of the general public helps make this annual event a success.
• Publish hard-hitting reports exposing institutionalised animal cruelty and calling for action. Voiceless’s reports have led directly to debates in both Federal and State Parliaments and received coverage in key national TV, print and radio media outlets.
• Engage with mainstream media and advocate for animals in major Australian and International forums. In the last 5 years Voiceless’s work has been featured in more than 100 articles and opinion pieces in Australia’s major print media and we have been invited to speak at over 30 Australian and international events.
