Our service aims to be the peak provider of high quality, culturally appropriate holistic primary health and related care services for Galambila's service communities of Coffs Harbour, Urunga, Bellingen/Dorrigo, Woolgoolga, Corindi & Ulong.

The Intent of Galambila Aboriginal Medical Service Incorporated:

Galambila is a medical service which provides culturally appropriate holistic health care. Services provided include:



    • Aboriginal Maternal & Infant Program

    • Diabetes Specialist Clinics

    • Podiatry Clinics

    • Endocrinolgy Clinics

    • Drug & Alcohol Counselling

    • Mental Health Clinics

    • Obstetrics, Optometry, Audiolgy, & Paediatric Clinics

    • Healthy for Life Program

    • Psychology & Psychiatry Specialists

    • Vascular Health Program

    • Health Assessments & Care Coordination


     

    Recent Accomplishments of Galambila Aboriginal Medical Service Incorporated:

    In 2005 Galambila AHS formed an allaince with other AMS's from Taree in the south to Tweeed Heads in the north (Many Rivers Aboriginal Medical Service Alliance). July 2008 marked our independence from being auspiced and then in October 2008 Galambila celebrated 10 years of service to the community. Most recently our organisation signed off on the North Coast Aboriginal Health Partnership Agreement with the North Coast Area Health Service.

    Joining the group is restricted to: Aboriginal people and thier partners & children residing within our service area

    Meeting Venue:

    Clients of Galambila can join our Association

    The venue is wheelchair accessible.

    Meeting Times:

    Association meets at least annually & our AGM is held once/year
