You should also take note that the Fundraising Institute of Australia's Code of Ethics for fundraisers specifically prohibits charging of commissions or success fees. Item Four of the FIA Code deems their members will:

"Provide their services either as volunteers, on a salaried basis or on the basis of pre-determined fees if retained as counsel. The receipt of remuneration by way of commission or payment in any way related to the amount raised is specifically deemed to be unethical."
