The Board of Directors will oversee and represent the interests of Volunteering Australia stakeholders, ensuring prudent financial management and adherence to ethical standards. As their representatives, committee members have the responsibility of establishing, guiding, and assessing the overall financial direction of Volunteering Australia.

Financial Oversight: Committee members will provide oversight of Volunteering Australia's financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. At least one member of the committee will possess relevant qualifications and experience in accounting, finance, or investment, ensuring the committee's financial literacy.

Audit Compliance: The committee will oversee the audit process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards. Members will work closely with external auditors to review financial statements and internal controls.

Risk Management: Committee members will assess and manage financial risks faced by Volunteering Australia, ensuring the organisation's long-term financial sustainability.

Transparency and Accountability: The committee will promote transparency and accountability in financial matters, ensuring that stakeholders receive accurate and timely information about Volunteering Australia's financial performance.

Expectations: Committee members are expected to attend quarterly meetings, actively participate in discussions, and contribute their expertise to financial decision-making processes. Additionally, members should adhere to the organisation's ethical guidelines.

Length of Term: Committee members will serve a minimum term of one year and may extend their commitment up to five years.
