"Reach Out" Appeal

What is this appeal for?

To "Reach Out" to a growing company of Australians who are marginalised by increasing costs of accommodation and general living expenses.

An increasing number of people on Government support are disadvantaged by high costs of rent, electricity, gas and water. They really battle to compete with high and double income earners for rental properties. They are on waiting lists for years for cheaper public housing, face homelessness, live in cars, with friends or in extreme circumstances, in tents, until their housing needs are resolved.

Ipswich Assist is a not for profit Welfare Ministry that actively "reaches out" to a hidden company of "internal refugees" in the bounds of Ipswich City, South East Queensland.

How will the funds be used?
Donations will assist in delivering services and relieving the acute needs of individuals and families who find themselves battling high rents, utilities, health and medical issues, family and relationship breakdown through supplying food parcels, travel expenses and basic necessities. Referrals will be taken from agencies and individuals who access Ipswich Assist through community links.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Assisting with food parcels and/or food vouchers
Travel costs (fuel cards)
Back to school expenses
