What is this appeal for?

We raise funds:

To provide and facilitate projects, professional assistance and direct assistance to individuals and their families.
To promote awareness of the chronic debilitation wrought by poor literacy to individuals, their families, communities and the nation.
To principally engage in the direct provision of language, literacy and numeracy services (including reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking and learning) to individuals in poverty, sickness, self-distress, misfortune, disability, destitution and helplessness.
To directly assist persons of all ages with language, literacy and numeracy needs, difficulties and disabilities who are unable to afford assistance.
To develop, teach and train others in sound methods of teaching and to supply appropriate services to those in need.
To facilitate both professional and public access to information about literacy and numeracy.

How will the funds be used?
These funds will provide practical literacy and numeracy solutions to those who need them most. The Foundation has several programmes that require on- going funding. Our Public Fund Board decides which projects/programmes will be allocated public funding

Disadvantaged Youth
Indigenous First Language Accredited Literacy Courses
Tutoring English for School-Aged Refugees
