Better Buddies Framework

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation : Better Buddies Framework

'Better Buddies Framework' - an innovative Primary School program delivering a very positive and effective anti-bullying, anti-violence message.

The Framework teams younger with older children, helping to develop social skills and build self confidence, to create a pro-social atmosphere in the playground where the students look out for and take care of one another. This provides older students with opportunities to develop responsibility and leadership and shows them they are valued and contributing members of the school community. It teaches the values of friendliness, care, respect, responsibility, empathy, difference and including others. This program has the potential to change the culture within Australian schools.
