MYST is an NGO that supports the development of disadvantaged and at-risk young people by providing relevant and dynamic programs that empower young people to grow intellectually, emotionally and physically.

Based in the Blue Mountains, we operate a number of services including two youth centres, two adolescent counselling services, as well as in-school programs, early school leavers personal support programs, outdoor recreation programs and a comprehensive street work service. All of this we do by sharing our one trusty old Toyota Hiace Mini-Bus

Whether it's a four day recreation camp to the snow, a school holiday program trip to the movies, picking up young people to get them to class in the morning, or taking kids home on a Friday night from the Youth Centre - the bus is a fundamental part of the important work that we do.

While we couldn't do without the bus, we also acknowledge that it costs us a lot of money to keep the bus on the road and every cent we spend on the bus is money we don't have for program development. This appeal is asking you to support the young people of our community by helping our organisation maintain an incredibly valuable resource.

Any significant surplus or individual large donation will be set aside as a provision for the purchase of a replacement bus in the future.

Please note that any funds our organisation saves on bus maintenance are running costs are used to enhance and develop programs for young people. A donation to the upkeep of our bus not only means you help keep our bus running, but also means we are able to offer additional and higher quality services to our young people.
