Preventing LGBT Youth Homelessness Appeal

What is this appeal for?

Open Doors Youth Service Inc. help more than 250 lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender young people every year. Our current funding makes it impossible to provide the range of assistance these young people require.

How will the funds be used?

Extra funding will make it possible for Open Doors Youth Service Inc. to employ another youth worker. We will then be able to provide better support to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Employment of a youth support worker
Brokerage funds to assist young people into accommodation
