What is this appeal for?

Run for Freedom... Run for Justice... Run for Refugees

Sponsor the ASRC's Run for Refugees and you can help give hope, justice and freedom to thousands of asylum seekers. In 2009 we are aiming for 1000 people to run or walk 5, 10, 21 or 42 km at this year's Melbourne Marathon. Your sponsorship, whatever the amount will make a difference. Any donation over $2 is fully tax-deductible.

We are aiming to raise $500,000 this year. This would fund the ASRC to provide food parcels, daily meals, ESL classes, legal medical, casework, counselling, employment and community development programs for 3000 asylum seekers for an entire year.
