What is this appeal for?

We are a Buddhist monastery that provides accommodation and training facilities for monks, nuns and anyone interested in Buddhism. We are a not for profit organisation that relies solely on donations from the community to fund running expenses of the monastery and to facilitate the teaching of Buddhism principles.

How will the funds be used?
The funds will be used to build accommodation and training facilities for monastics and the general community. Funds will also be used to improve existing facilities on site.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Dormitories
Accommodation and amenities block
Meeting hall for group activity
Property improvement e.g. landscaping, roadwork etc.

Is this appeal tax deductible? Yes

Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, though it will be delayed as it is sent by Santi Forest Monastery
