Streetsmart Appeal Streetsmart Appeal
By: StreetSmart Australia

What is this appeal for?
StreetSmart supports smaller organisations and projects that help people who are experiencing homelessness. These organisations do not have the capacity or skills to fundraise independently and StreetSmart offers the public a way to fund these critical services.

How will the funds be used?
Grants are targeted at providing vital support services and also help tackle homelessness through innovative strategies that promote social inclusion and empowerment for those people experiencing homelessness.

Check out our YouTube video at:
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=YgaiMOlSMuk

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:
  • 100% of donations are distributed in the form of grants.
  • We support critical emergency aid such as food and shelter as well as longer term solutions to help people move out of homelessness
  • Funding is generally aimed at smaller not for profit organisations who do not have the resources to fundraise themselves
  • Examples of previous projects include the Choir of Hard Knocks, The Big Issue, StreetSocceroos, youth refuges and women's refuges, food rescue and food programs.
Is this appeal tax deductible? No
Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, automatically sent to you by email when approved.
