What is this appeal for?

Osteoporosis Australia is a national charity that cares about the health of your bones. Together we can make a difference, now and for future generations.

Osteoporosis affects over 2 million Australians. 1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men over 60 will have a fracture due to osteoporosis. This disease can have a far reaching effect on a person's quality of life. The good news is that it can be preventable.

How will my donation help?
Awareness is the key and prevention is our aim.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

National awareness initiatives for prevention of the disease
Education programs for the community, people with osteoporosis and health professionals (including GPs and nurses)
Ensuring access to information for people with osteoporosis to better manage the disease
Supporting bone research

Is this appeal tax deductible? Yes

Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, though it will be delayed as it is sent by Osteoporosis Australia
