What is this appeal for?

What should we be doing to ensure an environmentally sustainable future? The Tasmanian Environment Centre works in Tasmania to inform and support individuals and community groups in protecting and restoring the natural environment and developing homes and cities for a sustainable future.

How will the funds be used?

To continue Tasmania's Environmental Home Expo, held annually; To make the TEC Resource Centre even more useful and widely accessible, especially about environmentally friendly homes.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Staffing
Education within the community for the appreciation, enhancement and protection of the environment
Ongoing management of our community centre
Management of a wide range of projects, including the Tasmanian Environmental Home Expo, the Cool Communities project and numerous Natural Heritage Trust projects
