What is this appeal for?

Help support your local community by donating to the Citizens of Whitehorse Community Chest Inc (The Chest). We assist between 50 and 100 eligible organisations operating in the local Whitehorse area including supporting children, older people, emergency relief, animals, youth and many others.

Support the well being of our proud City and promote community spirit.

The Chest has occupied an important and respected role within the City of Whitehorse since its inception in 1962 and is endorsed by the City of Whitehorse. It has a proud record of supporting and being supported by the Whitehorse Community and has allocated over $3.2 million to eligible charitable and welfare organisations since its inauguration.

Donations collecting for this appeal will be distributed amongst all of the participating organisations we support in the Whitehorse area.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

Donations to our beneficiaries including Box Hill Hospital, Eastern Emergency Relief Network, Reach Out for Kids, NADRASCA, Biala Box Hill, Eastern Palliative Care, Oxfam Blackburn/Box Hill, Mitcham Community House and many many more
