What is this appeal for?

All donations to Wildcare will be used for the benefit of sick, injured or orphaned Australian native animals. There are no paid positions in Wildcare and we receive no recurrent funding from government.

Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:

feeding and caring for orphaned and injured native animals
veterinary treatment
purchase of much-needed specialist equipment for clinical assessment
equipping and maintaining a rescue trailer for use in emergency situations
constructing aviaries and enclosures to house animals in care
supporting the operation of Wildcare's 24-hour/7-day telephone helpline
helping us to educate young people and other members of the public about the need to
respect and care for our native wildlife and its habitat
purchasing fuel or fuel vouchers to offset the expense of long-distance rescues
constructing a proposed wildlife clinic
public liability insurance.

Is this appeal tax deductible? Yes

Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, though it will be delayed as it is sent by Wildcare Queanbeyan Inc.
