For the six weeks in the lead-up to Christmas, StreetSmart partners with restaurants to ask diners to make a small donation to StreetSmart on their bill. Every table is asked to add $2 or more to their bill, not even the price of a coffee or mineral water. It's a simple idea that adds up to a big impact on the lives of people who are homeless.

Road Ribbon for Road Safety

Coinciding with the World Health Organisation's World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the Road Ribbon for Road Safety campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of road safety over the festive season. Organisations can participate by making road ribbons available to employees and the community, organising a road safety event/display or incorporating the campaign messages into existing community events/displays. Individuals are encouraged to wear a free road ribbon and spread the messages to family and friends to help raise awareness of road safety.

16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence is an international campaign that began in 1991. From 25 November, the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, International Human Rights Day, the campaign calls on individuals and groups around the world to act to end all forms of violence against women and girls.
