2050 was formed as an outcome of the first national Youthquake confernce held in Newcastle as part of the 2004 Year of the Built Environment. 2050 is an incorporated not-for-profit association of like-minded young development professionals dedicated to a more sustainable built environment for Australia.

2050 exisits to drive national initiatives towards a more sustainable Australia with passion, commitment and youthful energy.

The Intent of 2050:

Provide a forum for young professional to network and lobby for sustainable initiatives to be implemented on a local, state and national level.

Recent Accomplishments of 2050:

2050 has just held a successful 3 day conference at QUT Brisbane, titled Futureshock to discuss & debate sustainability and the future of this country. Over 100 professinals from accross Australia and from all sectors of the development professiona attended the event. A commitment was made to hold a similar event on an annual basis.
