The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation enables the people of the Eyre Peninsula to proactively contribute to the long term benefit of our region by building community capacity, addressing local needs through charitable grant-making and encouraging philanthropy.

The Intent of Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation Inc.:

We provide a Philanthropic organisation that raises funds and distributedss them to projects on Eyre Peninsula in Southa Australia. Through partnerships with other philanthropic organisations, local fundraising, donations and working with other community groups, we provide support for education, health and community capacity building projects. Our Foundation covers the Eyre Peninsula and Whyalla in South Australia.

Recent Accomplishments of Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation Inc.:

The Foundation facilitated the Smoky Bay Jetty Committee in obtaining an FRRR project fund account so they could receive tax deductable donations for their restoration project. 100 year celebrations including a reopening of the jetty took place on the 20th of April 2012.

The EPCF each year participates in the Back to School Voucher Program which is coordinated by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) and funded by the Sidney Myer Fund and the Wyatt Benevolent Fund. Since 2009, twelve hundred and forty, $50 Vouchers valued at $62,000 have been distributed to families across Eyre Peninsula.

A second hand Book Bazaar has been established at 17 Napoleon Street Port Lincoln which sells donated books, magazines, training manuals, maps, DVD’s and CD’s. All money raised goes towards the Home Hospice Named Fund and the Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation on a 50/50 basis. Sufficient funds have been raised to easablish a pilot project in 2014.
