To build and maintain a strong, sustainable and culturally diverse Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector that works together to reduce alcohol and other drug related harm across the Northern Territory.

The Intent of AADANT (Association of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies NT):


To perform as a peak body for the Non-Government Alcohol and Other Drugs sector in the Northern Territory through:

Advocacy and representation of a sector perspective on policy and other issues that relate to substance misuse issues;

Promoting a range of effective strategies that minimise related harms;

Sector capacity building including workforce development and training;

Increasing public awareness of AOD issues and strategies to minimise related harms; and

Encouraging and/or facilitating networking and other communication in the sector.

Recent Accomplishments of AADANT (Association of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies NT):

Newly incorporated we are commencing activities in this period including:

Development of a Territory wide communication network for the AOD sector

Development of an interactive website

Facilitation of an AOD conference in May 2014

Implementation of new training and support strategies in the top end and eventually Territory wide.
