2 x Voluntary Board Directors for STAR Inc.

STAR Inc. is a service provider offering in-home support for people with disabilities and in the aged care sector. We offer activities of daily living, social and community participation including group activities. STAR Inc. is a not for profit organisation that began in 1986, providing a teaching and in-home support service for people who wish to live in their own home and require assistance to do this. We operate throughout inner metropolitan Adelaide. 

Our at home skills program includes:

  • Cooking
  • Shopping
  • Budgeting
  • Transport
  • Cleaning
  • Cleaning and Laundry
  • Menu Planning
  • Hygiene and daily routines
  • Social Support
  • Social & Community participation
  • Group Activities (ie. Craft Classes, Cooking Classes)

STAR Inc. also offers individual support for participants to access and be involved in their community. All our participants have the opportunity to participate and engage in activities of their choice, learn new skills and we work with participants to tailor activities to their needs and interests. We are committed to providing a quality service and helping participants to get the support they need and want as part of their NDIS plan/goals. Currently we have 5 voting and 1 non-voting members. 

Meetings are held at 48 Hampstead Road Broadview on a monthly basis.
