Inclusion Plus Family Support Inc is a registered NDIS provider and a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in empowering the lives of children and adults living with a disability.
We’ve been supporting people with a disability on the Sunshine Coast since 1987 and are committed to ensuring that the people we support have every opportunity to be included in all aspects of life and participate in activities and events that interest them.
We are seeking applications for highly capable, motivated and values-driven individuals to join our Management Committee on a voluntary basis. It’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s governance and assist with our future strategic directions, in a rapidly changing and
competitive environment.
Your role will be to:
– Understand the business of the organisation and be aware of key developments
– Govern and oversee the organisation’s operations and performance
– Provide advice, opinions and independent judgement to inform Board decisions
– Attend and participate in Board meetings
– Be active in the organisation, such as attending functions or events as a representative of Inclusion Plus Family Support.
We value diversity and seek to reflect the diversity of our community in the composition of our Board. In addition to demonstrated leadership experience, the following qualities and skills will be highly valued:
- Professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Governance
o Finance
o Marketing/Fundraising
o Digital/Cyber security
o Human Resource - Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in/of the not-for-profit sector and the disability
services sector - Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to build strong networks, develop relationships and engage community partners to achieve outcomes
- A background in corporate governance and strategic management would be highly regarded but is not essential.
