Glenelg Community Hospital was established by the Apex club in 1950. Initially opened as a Maternity Hospital it has transformed over the years to a low-risk surgical facility with most procedures performed on a day-only basis. 

Glenelg Community Hospital is an Incorporated Association, not for profit and is a registered Public Benevolent Institution. 

Board members would benefit from understanding the private hospital sector particularly the community not for profit nature of the facility.
