Recognising, asserting and ensuring the rights of people with disability.

To work alongside people with disabilities so that they have access to and exercise their rights and opportunities in life, with a priority for people with an acquired brain injury.

Opportunity:

Joining the Leadership Plus Board will provide you with the opportunity to contribute an organisation dedicated to working with people with disability, with priority given to Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. Our Board comprises motivated individuals who are committed to advancing our purpose and vision. Through your service to the board, you will play a vital role in assisting Leadership Plus in better addressing the needs of these communities and helping to guide the strategy and development of the organisation.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Availability to attend 80% of ordinary Board meetings throughout the year.
  • Attendance at the AGM
  • Participation in other irregular organisational functions when possible.
  • The ability to make a contribution by adding value to a worthwhile enterprise that empowers people with disability and social/economic disadvantage.
  • Experience in the disability sector, social services, or related policy, management, or governance would be well regarded.
  • A sense of humour.
