ABOUT US
CELEBRATING DIVERSITY
We are a curiosity-driven ensemble that values and grows creative relationships, unique perspectives, and group devised physical theatre practice.

CHALLENGING ASSUMPTIONS
Our mission is to create and present exceptional performance that challenges assumptions, shakes up stereotypes and gives voice to untold stories.

MAKING THINGS HAPPEN
We don’t make performance about having a disability or not having a disability. We make work about life, about its surroundings, its imaginings, its rhythms, its angers and its celebrations.

SEE workshops and Board Meetings are held at the SEE Studio 228 Liverpool Street, Hobart and/or online via ZOOM. All SEE Board members need to attend at least 80% of our scheduled meetings. The board meets for 2 hours every four to six weeks. [10 meetings/ year].

A note to prospective board nominees:
The Second Echo Ensemble is a small arts organisation with a big mission. The SEE board is a voluntary board that requires its members to commit to;

  • the aims and goals of the company
    * attend the board meetings as scheduled
    * fulfil assigned actions by the date agreed
    * actively promote the ensemble and its activities whenever to whomever and wherever applicable
    * attend and support the performances and public activities of the ensemble
    * be available to pitch-in in all manner of extracurricular activities whenever, wherever and however possible.
