Any further information about this vacancy:

The Treasurer is a volunteer board member and is responsible for prudently managing the financial affairs of the Peace Foundation. 

On a day-to-day basis, the Treasurer:

  • Monitors our income, ensures our bills are paid on time, invoices our creditors and acknowledges payments to us, including donations.
  • Manages our financial records for good administration, compliance, and audit purposes.
  • Prepares an annual budget for the approval of the board, regularly presents to it year to date financial reports
  • Presents to the AGM, with the auditor, the annual financial report, including the Statement of Income and Expenditure and the Statement of Financial Position.
  • Liaises closely with our bankers, our investment partners, and our auditors.

The Treasurer offers strategic advice to the board on the sustainability of the Peace Foundation’s finances for its current and future purposes.

The Peace Foundation utilises Xero accounting software and Square is our preferred payments system.

This position will provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to work collaboratively with a team which is committed, passionate, generous, unpretentious, fun loving, and who work together to make a positive difference.

  • Location of Office -213 Gover Street, North Adelaide 5006. 
  • Time commitment: 6 x board meetings per year of one to one and half hours duration and an AGM of about two hours. From time to time other fundraising or social events
  • We do not necessarily require prior board experience as incumbent can provide support and help as required and there is an induction program.
