Join the Board – Cheltenham Community Centre

Cheltenham Community Centre (CCC) is seeking two passionate individuals to join our Board of Governance as part of our succession planning. CCC is a not-for-profit organisation with a strong mission: “We connect the community by responding to local needs”. Over 900 people engage with our diverse programs each month, including adult education, childcare, recreational activities, and social support.

Current Vacancies:

🔹 Treasurer (Executive Role) We are seeking a qualified individual to take on the Treasurer role. This includes financial oversight, supporting strategic financial understanding across the Board, and liaising with CCC’s Manager and Finance Officer.

Preferred Skills:

  • Finance/accounting expertise

  • Strategic and critical thinking

  • Risk management knowledge

  • Board or committee experience

  • Strong communicator with commercial acumen

🔹 Board Member with Legal Expertise We are also seeking a general Board Member with legal training and experience to strengthen governance, compliance, and strategic oversight.

Preferred Skills:

  • Legal qualifications

  • Understanding of compliance and corporate governance

  • Strategic risk management

  • Board experience and leadership skills
