The Pathways and Advocacy Network (PAAN) is seeking passionate, values-driven individuals to join our Board in the roles of Treasurer and Secretary.
We are a brand new South Australian-based not-for-profit organisation committed to improving school retention, career pathways, and life outcomes for students—particularly those facing disadvantage or with disability. Through advocacy, community partnerships, and systems reform, we aim to create an inclusive future where every young person has a pathway to thrive.
Treasurer (Board Position – Voluntary)
We are looking for a Treasurer with sound financial literacy and a passion for good governance. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting—ideally in a not-for-profit, education, or advocacy context. You will oversee financial compliance, support the preparation of financial reports and budgets, and guide the board in making informed financial decisions.
Desired skills and experience:
- Financial literacy and bookkeeping or accounting knowledge
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
- Understanding of NFP compliance obligations (ACNC, DGR, etc.) or willingness to learn

Secretary (Board Position – Voluntary)
We are also seeking a detail-oriented and organised Secretary to support the smooth functioning of our Board. This role involves coordinating board meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with governance requirements. This is a key role in maintaining transparency and accountability across our operations.
Desired skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Familiarity with governance processes and record-keeping
- Ability to draft meeting minutes and maintain registers.
