ACNC registered, this Research Foundation raises funds to support continuously funded, clinically led life-saving medical research. It sponsors initiatives to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of major health conditions like cancer and cardiovascular disease.

And, thanks to the astute management of financial support donated over decades, the Foundation can now invest millions of dollars each year into vital, world renowned, clinically led research, advanced medical equipment and educational initiatives.

To set the stage for continued success, it’s essential that the Foundation continues to benefit from the guidance of a Board that is diverse in skills, proven in the market, and forward-thinking. A Board that not only recognises opportunities for growth and commercial sustainability but also acts swiftly and confidently to embrace them.

The existing Board is extremely functional with broad-brushed expertise and experience in healthcare administration, clinical leadership, financial management, corporate governance, contemporary communications, fundraising and philanthropy and stakeholder engagement. But right now, there’s an opening for a multi skilled Director to infuse further unique strength into this dynamic and strategic body of governors.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a well-networked and seasoned Director who is comfortable across all aspects of commercial and non-profit enterprise.

A first-rate appreciation of governance is a given. As are your excellent communications and interpersonal skills, philanthropic influence, up-to-the-minute IT capabilities and fundraising knowhow.  In short, you can bring business smarts, a passion for helping others, a faultless reputation and the time and energy to devote to this excellent cause.

We are particularly seeking expressions of interest from individuals with a strong background in Technology and or Legal Affairs with a strong understanding of the Philanthropic environment.

Community orientated, you are positive and person-centric with an eye for the entrepreneurial and profitable. Your pleasant, gently persuasive personality opens doors – in business and in government – and you know just how to start the right conversations to get things done.
