Job description

Woodville Alliance is a purpose-led not-for-profit shaping the future for families in Western Sydney through disability, community and early learning programs that advocate health and wellbeing, foster inclusion, celebrate diversity and help individuals and communities to achieve their goals. For over 40 years, it has strengthened the resilience and independence of children, families and people with disability via NDIS support, community hubs and early learning centres.

OUR VALUES

  • Compassion - We act with care and empathy
  • Connection - We ask and listen, to learn and understand
  • Diversity - We acknowledge and include everyone
  • Social Justice - We are passionate about equality
  • Brave - We are confident and courageous

Woodville are encouraging people from underrepresented groups to apply to the Board, including - but not limited to - individuals of diverse age, ethnicity, culture, and lived experience.

ABOUT THE BOARD

The Woodville Board governs strategy, risk, compliance, performance and overall direction. It currently has seven directors, but several of our long-standing directors are concluding their terms as part of a planned renewal process, creating an exciting opportunity to bring fresh perspectives and skills to the board.

ROLE SUMMARIES

Board Chair

Woodville are seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Chair to lead a period of strategic renewal, support our CEO, and help guide the organisation into its next chapter. The ideal candidate is a champion for change, a collaborative facilitator, forward thinker, and trust-based relationship-builder who embodies inclusive governance and brings a deep sense of integrity and community connection.

Non-Executive Board Members

Woodville are also seeking several Non-Executive Board Members. Amongst other things, you will bring curiosity, clarity, and an appetite to learn. We are seeking candidates with legal, risk oversight, NDIS, fundraising, business development or marketing expertise, and of course a passion for people and community.
