We are looking for a treasurer. Here is an outline of the duties:Treasurer – Key Duties South Australian Makers Incorporated1. Financial Management

  • Knowledge of Xero.
  • Keep accurate financial records.
  • Make sure all income and expenses are recorded and approved.
  • Monitor bank accounts and cash flow.
  • Ensure financial controls are in place.

2. Reporting

  • Provide regular financial updates to the committee/board.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for the AGM.
  • Help prepare and manage the annual budget.

3. Compliance

  • Make sure the association meets its legal financial obligations under relevant law.
  • Complete quarterly GST reporting to the ATO.

4. Support for Grants and Fundraising

  • Keep track of grant spending and provide financial reports when needed.
  • Help with preparing financial parts of grant applications or funding proposals.

5. Governance and Advice

  • Help the committee make informed financial decisions.
  • Make sure the association handles money responsibly and transparently.
