Newcastle Jockey Club Limited (NJC) and Racing NSW are seeking applications to fill three (3) independent Director positions.

About Us

The Newcastle Jockey Club (NJC), established in 1906, is one of Australia's leading and most progressive race clubs. Based at the Newcastle Racecourse in the heart of the Hunter region, it is an excellent time to become a part of the NJC Board, who are directing the Club to become a key player in the NSW Thoroughbred Racing landscape by delivering state of the art racing and training facilities and enhancing the sporting and social fabric of the community.

It is an excellent opportunity to join the Board of the NJC, one of the largest and premier provincial clubs in New South Wales who are entering an exciting phase of growth and innovation. In recognition of this, Racing NSW awarded the NJC a stand-alone race meeting featuring The Hunter - a $1 million feature race that has quickly become a marquee event on the local, regional and NSW sporting & social calendar. More than just a race, The Hunter represents the club’s bold vision for the future, bringing economic benefits, national attention, and a sense of pride to the region.

Be part of a club where tradition meets ambition and help shape the next chapter in the NJC’s proud legacy. The NJC Board of Directors are responsible to oversee governance and strategic direction of the Club.
