Community Care and Transport Inc. (Care in Motion) invites expressions of interest to nominate to serve as a committee (board) member. 

Care in Motion governed by a Management Committee, who bring a breadth of experience and skills from diverse professional backgrounds. The Committee’s work, from setting organisational strategy through to ensuring its successful implementation, directly shapes our capacity for impact and growth. 

As a committee member, you will play a critical role in the strategic direction of Care in Motion. 

We are seeking nominees with skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas; Not for Profit (Aged Care and Disability sectors). Though, not having these skills does NOT exclude you from applying.  You may have skills we did not know we needed. Applicants with strong governance experience and skills would be highly valued.  

As a member of Care in Motion’s Committee, you will be responsible for: 

• Ensuring organisational compliance with statutory governance obligations. 

• Organisational adherence to Care in Motion’s Constitution, and alignment of strategy with its purpose. 

• Commitment to the utilisation of digital platforms and correspondence (Care in Motion uses a portal to manage meetings and documents). 

• Consistent Committee meeting attendance and timely out of session engagement. 

• We also strongly encourage women, people of colour, and ability diverse candidates to nominate. 

Commitment 

• Minimum three-year term 

• Ranging from one to three hours per week.  The Committee meets five times per year. 

While our head office is based on the Yorke Peninsula, our services cover 13 council regions across regional South Australia.  Distance is not necessarily a barrier for our organisation.
