Caladenia Dementia Care Board Director (Clinical Care) (Voluntary)

Make a difference in dementia care as a voluntary Board Director (Clinical Care).

Caladenia Dementia Care is seeking a committed, values-aligned clinical professional to join our voluntary Board and contribute as a member of our Clinical Care Governance Committee. This is a meaningful opportunity to use your clinical knowledge and governance expertise to support a much-loved organisation delivering person-centred dementia care in Melbourne’s east.

Founded in 1983, Caladenia provides dementia-specific social support — including services for those with younger onset dementia — and to people receiving Home Care Packages. As a financially sound, community-based organisation with a skilled and cohesive Board, Caladenia is well-positioned for growth and reform, delivering safe, high-quality, and dignified care.

We value diversity and seek to reflect the diversity of our community in the composition of our Board. We’re seeking someone with:

  • Relevant clinical qualifications and professional experience
  • Governance and leadership capability
  • Knowledge of quality and safety, clinical governance, and data-informed practice
  • Understanding of aged care, health or not-for-profit sectors
  • Commitment to consumer experience and safe, high-quality care
  • A collaborative, curious, and values-driven approach

This voluntary role involves Board meetings every second month in person (Mooroolbark) plus engagement in committees and between meetings as needed. A substantial induction and handover will be provided.

If you are ready to contribute your expertise, influence strategic direction, and help shape the future of dementia care, we would love to hear from you.
