Any further information about this vacancy:

Calibre Consulting is supporting Disability Assembly WA (DAWA) in finding a passionate volunteer Chair of the Fundraising Committee.

DAWA is a Collective Voice in WA made up of people with disability and their families, carers and people from the broader disability sector who volunteer their time to work together to reconnect the disability ecosystem. DAWA's vision is to unify, support and champion a thriving disability ecosystem in WA to ensure world leading and sustainable outcomes for people with disabilities, their families and carers.

The Committee leads and oversees the development and implementation of the Fundraising Plan and identifies external sources of support which underpin the financial sustainability of DAWA. This includes creating fundraising strategies, reporting progress to the Board and building relationships with sponsors, donors and grant programs. The Chair of the Fundraising Committee plays a vital role in leading this.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Committee Management & Strategic Planning

  • Lead and manage Committee meetings, agendas, minutes, and task delegation, ensuring effective teamwork.

  • Oversee the development of both long term and annual fundraising plans, setting clear goals and identifying opportunities.

Fundraising & Relationship Building

  • Work with the Board to guide the implementation of fundraising plans and initiatives.

  • Establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with supporters, sponsors, and donors.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide regular updates to the Board, key stakeholders, and the broader DAWA Council and community.

Additional Information

The Chair of the Fundraising Committee will collaborate closely with the Board Chair and work constructively with the Board as a whole. A key focus of the Fundraising Committee is building long term sustainability for DAWA. An understanding of disability is valuable, but not essential.
