Board Position (Voluntary)    

The Jacka Foundation for Natural Therapies (JFNT) is currently seeking expressions of interest for a new Director to join our Board in late 2025.

JFNT is a leading philanthropic funder of natural medicine research, having distributed over $7 million since inception in 2010. We provide grants that support clinical trials, PhD scholarships, regulatory advocacy, mentoring programs, and more—primarily in partnership with the NICM Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University.

This is a particularly exciting time to join the Board as the organisation is entering a new phase of strategic growth and impact. Building on a strong legacy, JFNT is poised to deepen its influence through expanded partnerships, innovative funding models, and a continued focus on ethical, evidence-based practice.

To complement the strengths of our current Board, we are looking for individuals with skills in the following areas:

  • Impact and evaluation
  • Philanthropic board experience
  • Legal expertise
  • Fundraising and funds development
  • Investment and financial strategy
  • Strategic planning

 

While a background in natural therapies is not required, an affinity for holistic and integrative medicine is welcomed.

Directors should be based in Victoria.  Roles are voluntary, with reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. Appointments are for an initial three-year term, with the opportunity for reappointment.
