Volunteer Director, Central Coast Conservatorium of Music Ltd

Who we are:

CCCM is a Tier-1 conservatorium of music, based in Gosford, NSW. Founded as an Incorporated Association in 1981 by the visionary Robert Knox, the Con as it is known locally, operates out of a heritage listed building. Read more about our history. Today, the Con is the musical home to 900 students across the beautiful Central Coast. The Con changed its corporate structure to a Company Limited by Guarantee in Nov 2023.

As the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music Ltd enters a new phase, we’re recruiting a full slate of new Board members to lead with fresh energy and vision. What does this role entail? Here’s what you need to know:

What We’re Seeking:

  • Passion for Music and Music Education on the Central Coast: First and foremost, we need your commitment to make music education accessible to more people.
  • Time & Effort: ~8 -10hours/month (includes monthly evening meetings, committee work, and occasional events).
  • Skills in any of these domains (governance, fundraising, marketing, financial management, employment law, music, education), and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
  • Integrity & independence
  • Willingness to listen and work with the community
  • Understanding of/ willingness to understand the challenges of a regional conservatorium
  • Professional experience in a field/s where independence matters
