Worthy Cause is a social enterprise on a mission to create meaningful employment pathways for people facing barriers to work. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chair of the Board to lead our governance, strategy and growth as we expand our national impact. This volunteer role will oversee implementation of a new governance structure, guide strategic planning, and ensure effective accountability across the organisation. The Chair will work closely with the CEO and sub-committees to drive performance, transparency and mission alignment. We expect the role to be tactile in the early implementation phase of this strategic shift, and then reducing in required capacity to a steady cadence expected of a usual chair role. 

We’re looking for a values-driven leader with strong governance experience, a strategic mindset and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring board leadership experience, a commitment to ethical governance and a genuine passion for social impact.

Time commitment: Initially ~5-8 hours per week for one month, then ~8–12 hours per month, including board meetings every 6-weeks and strategic engagement activities.
