The Spiers Centre Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our Board of Management as Secretary in a voluntary capacity. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting our mission to empower individuals and families through financial counselling, emergency relief and community support services.

About the Role

As Secretary, you will:

  • Prepare the agenda for the monthly meetings
  • Engage with the CEO and Chair for monthly papers and meeting inputs
  • Prepare and distribute minutes of the monthly meetings
  • Particiate in decision making and strategic planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional experience in business communication/ commerce or similar field
  • Understanding of not-for-profit governance
  • Commitment to the values and mission of The Spiers Centre
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively

This is a voluntary position, with an expected commitment of approximately 3-4 hours per month.

This is a non-onerous position with the main commitment being a requirement to attend board meetings which are held on the third Monday of each month commencing at 4.00pm.
